If the form of the commenting prevents people from contributing to this community, then we all lose in the long run.Fortnite is one of the most popular online games today. It is entirely possible to make a point without being disrespectful or in violation of the Discussion rules and Guidelines*.However they could easy skip that, but the opposite is more difficult. Sometimes that involves repeating information know by most.
You want to make it as easy as possible for people to follow, and without jumping back and forth to external sources.
There is a difference between writing contextual instructions on how to achieve the topic in question and paraphrasing. Both of witch are out-dated solutions to the issue. There is, to my knowledge, no existing guide on Steam Community that explains this specific procedure of launching Fortnite without the Epic Game Launcher or writing batch files. If you think the topic is too obvious or are having questions about why people choose to contribute, you are free to start your own topic about that. The topic is clearly about adding Fortnite to Steam for convenience. Hardly worth mentioning as that should be obvious Official Step 4= Click on "Add Selected Programs". Official Step 3 = Browse for games on your computer or put a check next to the game(s) you wish to add to the Library. Official Step 2 = Click the Games menu, choose Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library. Yours Step 4= Go to "My Library", locate "Fortnite" and launch it. In my instance it's "E:\Epic Games\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64\FortniteLauncher.exe". Yours Step 2= Browse the path to the installed game. Yours Step 1= In Steam, go to "Games" in the header and then "Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library". How is yours any different to official steps? There are several posts about this in the forum, but the answers are outdated and the threads are closed.
The premise here is how to launch a game that previously couldn't be added to Steam.
